General information
As of June 2023, High Holborn student accommodation will be undergoing the following major upgrade projects:
receive updates: Fully upgraded, including public lobby, reception and administrative offices. This will provide guests and residents with modern reception facilities.
Accessible Room Renovation: Complete renovation of 2 houses (1 on the mezzanine and 1 on the ground floor) to offer our guests a better and more flexible accommodation with barriers.
The LSE and our contractors will endeavor to minimize disruption to guests; however, due to the nature of the project, some disruption is expected. For both projects, there was some noise from adjacent floors during construction and construction workers could be seen in the corridors. Hours of operation are generally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. rice. Noisy work (e.g. drilling, etc.) is permitted between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. rice. and 4:00 pm. to minimize disruptions. While the front desk is being upgraded, interim arrangements will be in place to allow the team to continue to provide all front desk services to guests.
- High Holborn Residence offers single, double and twin rooms with shared bathroom facilities.
- All standard rooms have been recently refurbished.
- Each room has its own sink, storage space, desk and lamp.
- Rooms are grouped into group apartments of four to six people, with shared kitchens and bathrooms. There are also a number of en-suite bedrooms.
- Room rates include breakfast.

A continental breakfast is included in the room rate and is served Monday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Each floor has a kitchen area with two or four ring hobs, microwave, fridge/freezer, oven, kettle, toaster and basic kitchen utensils.

Entry starts at 3:00pm on the day of arrival (or 4:00pm if you arrive on June 18th).
Depart before 10:30 am on the day of departure.

Reception is open daily from 8am to 10pm (night security at desk).

Available for check in and check out. There is no overnight luggage storage.

You will receive these documents from the LSE Summer School Office. You need to log in with your LSE Summer School username and password to book. As soon as you have them, we recommend that you book your accommodation as soon as possible.

We will not randomly assign participants. But if you're attending LSE Summer School with other people and want to live together, you can book a shared room. Please have the other party's details ready when booking. You will need to enter your name and the payment must be made by one of you. Both are required to attend the same LSE Summer School programme.
Accommodation for preparatory English courses
Our exclusive room for Preparatory English Course accommodation is Bankside House. Bankside House is only available for preparatory English courses. This means that when the main meeting starts you will need to move from Bankside House to the room you have booked for the main meeting. All corridors are in central London, so you don't have to go far.
Multiple discounts
Connecting nights from Saturday to Sunday are free if you book several time slots in a row. So you pay 20 nights for one meeting and only 40 nights for two meetings, but you stay 41 nights. If you book all three time slots, you can stay 62 nights but pay only 60 nights.
